The DAWN OF COLORS

Each painting in The Dawn of Colors began as a confrontation with my own nightmares—images that surfaced in silence, often uninvited. They were raw, jagged, and unfiltered. But I didn’t turn away. I painted them. I let them speak.

And then something unexpected happened.

Color crept in—not to mask the darkness, but to transform it. What began as fear became form. What felt like chaos found rhythm. I watched as the very images that haunted me began to bloom with vibrancy, as if they had been waiting to be seen in full spectrum.

This exhibition is not about escaping nightmares. It’s about meeting them, listening, and letting them evolve. Each piece is a record of that journey—from shadow to light, from silence to saturation.

The colors are not decoration; they are declaration. They say, I have felt deeply, and I have come through.

The Dawn of Colors is my way of honoring the emotional landscapes we all traverse. It’s a reminder that even the darkest visions can give rise to beauty— Sharmin
