Everyone Carries a Sky brings together landscapes and figurative paintings that explore the unseen worlds we carry within us.
 
The works move between inner and outer landscapes, where skies, flowers, birds, and figures become expressions of vulnerability, anxiety, longing, and resilience - a reflection of something carried quietly beneath the surface. Patterns from diverse cultural traditions become a visual language for experiences shared across cultures.
 
Several paintings draw on the German expression einen Vogel haben—literally, “to have a bird”—meaning to be a little strange or eccentric. The saying Jeder hat einen Vogel, “everyone has a bird,” becomes a metaphor for the private burdens and complexities that each person carries.
 

Everyone Carries a Sky is ultimately an invitation to look beyond appearances. We rarely know what another person is carrying. Perhaps the awareness that each of us inhabits an unseen inner landscape can make us slower to judge, more attentive to one another, and more willing to extend compassion.
